These are very specialized cars, everything is very expensive, even by M-B standards. The dealer is often the only source for some parts which means such parts will cost substantially more than parts for more common engines which have second sources. The V-12 is a gas hog and a 13 year old SL600 is, well, just another 13 year old SL. Buy this car only if its running and maintenance cost won't bother you.
