Never heard of a T222 transmission to begin with. As a teenager an older
brother had a 63 Starfire. Since I am almost positive Olds didn't offer a
manual transmission option in its big models during the early 60s I have
to
go with an automatic. Your 88 should have the 394 ci engine that was
discontinued in 64. Doubt if a 64 or newer automatic would be a bolt in.
Looks like to me you are restricted to somewhere around 1955 to 1964 for
another transmission. Good luck finding one of thee puppies.
