I suspect all your replies are going to sound expensive. Without the
master 
key, you will need to order a new key from Alfa, so that the immobiliser
is 
setup properly. You might be able to buy a second hand key from somewhere
(I 
believe some VW keys use the same electronics) and have it re-coded for
your 
car?
