I finally got a reply from Bosch, through the e-mail address kindly
provided by Zathras.
It is in Dutch, but the translation is that they do not exactly know
when the profile difference is too much, but 5mm looks like a big
difference to them and could result into problems. They know that for
certain car brands this results in issues with the driving system /
differential.
Interesting: it seems that Bosch is confirming the issue...
