On that subject my Audi A3 2.0T recorded 18.6 mpg on my journey home
tonight (because there wasn't much traffic around!). The "much
thirstier" 156 V6 would never go this low. Overall average mpgs are Audi
26 vs Alfa 24. official figures Audi 36 vs Alfa 24.
So you would think you would improve your mileage by 50% by replacing
the Alfa V6 with an Audi 2.0T. Luckily I pay a fixed cost per mile as a
company car otherwise I would be very disappointed. Before you ask, yes
I drive it the same as I drove the Alfa (with less style of course).
Official figures really are very misleading.
