Brassic Alfa Owner, Needing Advice..

by "R!K" <rikmannion@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 13, 2008 at 01:14 AM

Have a 2.0 JTS 156 and love everything about it, apart from running
costs!! I've been lucky with my 156, always p***** MOT's never any
major problems, but I have now gotten to the point where it's done 45k
and needing a service and a cambelt change, which will cost me around
=A3700.. As costs in the UK are escalating so high I'm struggling to pay
my bills so do not have a spare =A3700.

I don't particularly want to sell my 156 as it's the best car I've
ever owned and I know I'll regret it, but I'm worried that leaving the
cambelt and even the service could have disaterous concequences... I
know the recommended cambelt change is 35k, but wondered if anyone
else had delayed things until they could afford it.

Also - due to having a child nowadays I wish I got the JTD S****twagon
instead - this would save me some funds on petrol (though not sure how
much) - Anyone out there want a swap?? mine is a facelifted 53 model.
