I've had the MAF out this morning and given it a good clean with
Isopropanol, bit sluggish at first but soon settled down to normal. Got
my
Indy to reset the codes/light and has remained off for the short trip
home.
My man also mentioned the airbox lid problem causing premature MAF
failure.
Bit **** those airbox bolts ain't they? Bizarrely the 2 bolts in the lid
that secure the fixing bracket are perfectly OK and there's no need to
ever
undo them, yet the buggered 3 would have been in/out at every service.
We shall see, if the EOBD light comes on again I'll bite the bullet and
shell out for a new MAF.
Thanks for the quick response.
