The lack of air vents on the side of the hood makes it a 1942 Chevy. Also
the
script on the hood, the bumper ends. What I can't ID is the single chrome
stripe
on the rear fender. This may be one of the last Wartime Cars before they
had to
put blackout lights an painted chrome trim and then stop production in
February
42 of all civilian cars. It also could be 42 one after the war and rusted
or
dented trim removed. All pre 41's had air vents on the hood and the
headlights
were bulges on the top of the fenders.
