I have a 6.0 Liter with these symptoms: Sometimes hard to start, starter
turns well but it seems like no fire. One person who heard the engine
turining said it sounded like the points were stuck. I tapped on the sides
of the distributor and the engine started. On a couple of occasions it has
stopped running and did not restart until I had tapped on the distributor.
I thought that electronic ignition did not use points. I can't find
points
listed in distributor parts. I find only rotors and caps as well as
complete distributors. Any ideas why the hard start and stalling?
