The problem is that although you can FIND a cup that will fit it, that
doesn't do you any good when you are going through a drive through or are
stopping at a 7-11 and buying a bottle of pop or tea out of their cooler.
"Hey Habib, Can I run this out to my car to see if it will fit in the
drink
holder before I buy it?" or "Here, can you fill this up for me instead of
using your cup?" (as you hand your own cup through the drive through
window).
It's a combination of the cup holder being too small in diameter, and also
being very limited in the height of container that you can put in it.
