I bought the "strongest" battery that I could get for it and the problem
has
gone away. I'm not sure if the problem has really gone away, or if the new
battery (that is 3 times more powerful than the old one) just has enough
reserve to deal with whatever is causing the drain. When I installed the
new
battery I checked over every connection on the car that I could find,
unhooked the stereo amp that the previous owner had installed, and had the
alternator double checked. The only strange thing that I found while
checking things out was that occasionally the "key in" chime rings when
you
open the doors even when the key has been removed. I couldn't find that
this
caused anything else to remain on ( such as dome lights or the radio or
anything), but who knows. It's been a few months now and it's been ok.
I'll
let everyone know if I find anything more or if it happens again.
