Every manufacture has problems. Cars, refrigerators, motorcycles......etc.
they may not be the same problems but everyone has em. I don't work on
Fords, Chevy's, I work on Chrysler Products so I cant ell you if others
have
this problem. Go to some of the other forums and read what issues they
have.
The quick fix I would have told you to do would be to tap on the key and
get
it to the shop so that the key cylinder could be replaced and recoded. I
am
not sticking up for anyone. just because something wears out does not mean
it has a problem. Keep in mind that Chrysler does not build the cylinders,
they are made by another company that sells them to Chrysler, don't you
think that they sell them to other manufactures as well? I just had to
install garage door torsion springs because one broke and my door would
not
open. Im not going to complain to the door company because the spring
broke,
the life expectancy on those springs were 20000 openings.
