Sebring Radio Problem

by "Art McClinton" <art.mcclinton@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 26, 2007 at 07:31 PM

I was wondering if anyone has seen a problem similar to the following. I
drive a 2001 Sebring Sedan LXi with a factory radio which includes
cassette
player and external CD changer. I have recently (after 6+ years of no
problems) had the radio start to go off while I am listening to it. The
radio will play normal for 30-60 seconds and then go off (full power down
as
the radio lighting goes off and the clock loses time) for 5 or so seconds.

This will continue making the listening to the radio very frustrating. I
however do not have that problem if I am listening to cassette tapes or
CD's. In those modes I never see the problem. Also while playing the radio

the cassette/CD in use indicator will randomly flash.

I assume it is time to get a new radio. (And I am familiar with
radiosandmore.com)
