"Electrical Trouble Shooting" by A.H. Packer is a comprehensive automotive
electrics manual/text book published in 1945. This book would be an
addition to any automobile restorer's shop reference shelf or historic
display. It begins with a chapter in basic auto electric theory and
continues through ignition, magnetos, radio noise damping, regulators,
batteries, starter motors, generators, armature and field testing, and
ends
with a chapter on airplane electrics. The book is in good condition,
black
pebble cover with faded title, rounded corners, staining and some stuck
pages to page 11, the rest being in good condition, small bottom tear on
opening overleaf, binding very good, intact fold-out on generator
troubleshooting, many excellent diagrams and air brush illustrations.
With
this book, the restorer can dissassemble, repair and calibrate the
electrical components on any auto from the 30's and 40's.
