The FRC was another GM fuckup.
They claimed it had a stiffer suspension and therefore was used as the
body
style for the Z06.
However, later the Z06 came out in the normal coupe body style and the FRC
was dropped. Sort of proved that it was a GM marketing F-up and not a
'preferred stiffer body'.
This is just another case of GM marketing screwing up, spinning this fact
into trying to make buyers believe this was done on purpose and is a plus,
then proving they screwed up by dropping the body style.
The FRC was really meant as a 'cheaper' or less desireable Corvette. The
billy bob. A real marketing screwup.
