Also note my reply about transit plates being avaialble but issued by
the destination state not the state where the vehicle is/was
purchased. However, this may vary.

Again, in NH the dealer would put a 20 day temp plate on any vehicle
they sell, (I think the cost is about $15). I suspect MT is the same
in that regard.
