Boo... Hiss... Went up to Miller Motorcars last weekend, after doing
a plug change on a 308, they had a 612 and a 599 in the showroom.
The 612 is supposed to be big, it has four seats... The 599, "the
blind man's Ferrari", looks like it was designed to fit Rosie
O'Donnell* (I could be the guy they designed the Daytona around), the
thing is freaking HUGE. There's no reason for that.
There's no denying the performance advance of the thing, or the
engineering perfection of the 430, but they both are esthetic failures
compared to their predecessors. The 430 is especially egregious in
that every change from the 360 demeans or destroys something already
beautiful.
The GranTurismo is ok, the headlights are abominable, but I'll prefer
the smaller, tighter 4200 GT.
