Hello all,
I am seriously thinking about selling my personal Fiero collection =
(haven't decided for sure yet but just doing some research at the =
moment but it really looks like I am going to have too shortly).....Can =
anyone tell me the best place to list my Fieros for sale if I do decide =
to get rid of them? I really would prefer keeping them and I actually =
wanted to the complete the set of GTs but my business is growing to the =
point where I need the shop floor space (the 3,000 sq ft building sure =
looked like more space then I would ever need until I started filling it =
up with crap...and the 4 cars are taking up room I need, but I refuse to =
shove them outside to get weathered, and I can't justify buying "stack" =
lifts just to store them)....anyway, all 4 are GT, 2 are 88s, 1 is 86 =
and the forth is 85...the 88s have somewhere around 95,000 on them, I =
forgot to take a note of it when I was in the shop but if memory serves =
the 86 has around 70,000 and the 85 has around 77,000. The 85 was =
brought in from Canada (what a pain in the ass that was with customs =
because the guy I bought if from never told me it had Canadian title and =
he never told customs he was selling it.......he had told me he was from =
Plattsburg (upper NY) so I had no idea ....I sent a driver with car =
carrier to pick up the car so I didn't find out until money exchanged =
and I was back home .....try explaining that to motor vehicles and home =
land security (customs)....it was only pure luck that it was built to US =
specs. for emissions to I was finally able to get it transferred and =
titled...According to Pontiac personnel I spoke to about getting the =
"emissions certificate" from for Customs, that only about 25% of the =
Fieros sold to Canada were built to meet with US EPA Emission standards, =
I just got lucky....the speedo and odometer are already swapped over =
from Canadian to US, it is NOT metric. Anyway, any ideas of where to =
sell would be appreciated, I realize there is always eBay but that is my =
last resort...listed a bronco and truck on there and both times I had to =
relist them over and over because the high bidder vanished . I never =
did manage to find an 87 with under 100,000 to complete the set either =
damn it). Thanks, Paul
