Just bought my 86 Fiero GT off the original owner - has 139k miles and came with a spreadsheet detailing maintenance, oil changes etc since the car was new. Sat in a carport all it's life so she is in pretty good shape. My question is this - my brakes seem like they almost want to grind on hard stops. If I am going to get them repaired, should I buy the brake kit from Fiero Store which upgrades them to Grand Am type brakes? Not sure how best to approach this one, wouldn't mind hearing from anyone with a low cost and good solution. I've been enjoying the car. Just bought a more recent Pontiac / Delco CD player off eBay I'm going to drop in as well as that keyless entry system JC Witney sells for $48 shipped. Apparently you can drop it in in about two hours and the keyless remotes even have a trunk lid release you can hook up if your car is equipped.
