Nope. You are better off rebuilding the 87s. They are a 
much better design. In all likelihood it's just the 
gears on the motors anyway. Get a couple of kits from 
Rodney Dickman.

It's been a long time since I did it, but it's not all 
that hard. Your best bet. The other possibility is to 
get used headlight buckets from a junker. Whatever. But 
stick with the 87-88s, don't go backwards. You would 
need to swap out the wireloom too, plus a couple relays. 
Definitely not worth it. I put a set of 87s in my 86GT. 
That was a step in the "right" direction. :-)
