I have a H&C on my engine. Actually the distrubutors themselves are
fairly common (eBay ETC.). The problem is that guys replace the H&C
caps with stock caps. This immedately breaks the rotor. Caps and rotors
are almost impossible to locate. The points are Bendix aircraft units
that can be had from any aircraft ignition shop. Stock Ford condensors
work fine. NEVER EVER use high output coils on a H&C dist. This is what
ruins the caps. The extra time the stock coils have to build up on a
dual coil unit puts out more than enough juice.
