Does the tire tread wear pattern give you a clue to the problem?

Have you checked the front-end suspension including ball-joints,
tie-rod ends, shocks, etc. for any signs of looseness?

What kinds of roads are you driving on?

I replaced my Focus tires at 40 K miles.  That's decent, but not great.
