Clint Eastwood Car "the good, the bad & the ugly"
I have recently come into owner****p of an "L" reg (1994) Ford Turbo
Diesel 1.8.
The Good: (good exhaust, good body, good tires & brakes no apparent
engine problems
The Bad (rattles from front and rear suspension when going over bumps,
Heater puts out little heat [initially warm puff but cools quickly],
key doesn't seem to want to activate power locks (power locks will
activate with inside door handles), the transmission seems VERY hard
to ****ft, it is almost as if the clutch is out of adjustment as it is
somewhat easier if I mash the clutch pedal to the floor. Oh and my
Volvo 960 Turbo seems faster, any suggestions on how to "perk" up the
diesel?
The Ugly.... Steel rims, nasty cloth interior, crappy RDS stereo,
interior rattles and yellowing headlight lens.
It seems like a good car so far but I've only just got it and if I can
"nip" these little things in the bud (so to speak) it could work out
very nicely. Fingers crossed.
PS is it possible to put the leather interior from the Ghia X into a
base unit and have it work properly? Also, is it possible to get a
replacement Ford radio to work without getting raped by the
dealer****p?
