While I knew what the OP meant (my father was British), the terms are not
used much outside the UK. In Canada, we mostly use "drivers side" ( left)
and "passenger side" (right) or "left side" and "right side". We also do
not
use the term "fortnight".
Some of these terms may still be in use in Australia, and New Zealand.
Certainly, none of the antipodeans I have known used them!
