02 Stang auto -- stalls going from R to D

Old man has an 02 automatic mustang gt, 4.6L

When going from Reverse to Drive (Or the opposite) the RPM's die down 
and it stalls at times...

Any quick fix for this?  It has new plugs just last summer before he put 
it away...
