Re: 305tbi timing problem

It has been a while since I've done this but;
There is not enough info in your post...

When you say a mild cam, several manufactures have info cards with them.
This tells how they should be setup. Some require advancing or retarding,
some straight up and it's all done.

On the 87 harness and all you say, I assume the 87 computer is used as
well.
I am unclear(being that I stopped back in 81 messing w/it) if the MSD
Dist.
and the Holley TBI will interface with the stock computer.

I thought that the Holley TBI had either its own computer or manual
adjustments.

The O2 sensor. Is it set to work with the Holly system?

In the old days we would run the timming up to about 12 depending on the
dist adv both mech and vac. Seems like a total advance with all items
kicked
it were to hit in the 38deg range..26 of which were from the dist..IF
memory
serves me..

Run the timming up, take if for a spin.. IF she cuts back or cackles pull
the time back a bit and retry..

I know its not much help?
