You probably have a very common problem that originates
in the intermediate steering shaft.  The fix is to either replace
it, or there is a kit available to re-grease the slip joint in
the shaft.  Which usually fixes the problem tem****arily.

It's really just an annoyance....nothing will fall apart on you.
