84 Cutlass- Junk or worth parting out?

by "Arthur Dent" <uce@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 11, 2006 at 05:15 AM

I have an '84 Cutlass Supreme, V-6, 2 door. Wife trashed the motor when
the throttle/choke stuck on a sub-zero temp start, revs maxed out and no
oil
flow- it didn't last long and she didn't think to turn the key off before
it
started to croak. Ran enough for me to get it on a trailer and back off
again, but it was hurting bad (bearings burnt?).

Less than 10k miles on rebuilt tranny. Both doors rusted out and
probably NG. Missing LR taillight assy (sold). Headliner falling down. I
think the dash is in decent shape, and most of the rest of the body.

    Wheels might be worth something?

I had wanted one of this style for a long time and when my Cougar blew
a
head gasket 100 yards from where this was parked, cut a deal for it and
drove it away. But, as much as I liked the style, it really wasn't
comfortable for me, my legs are too long. I wanted one, got one, drove it,
now I'm done with it. I'd hate to just junk it if there was someone who
wanted it for parts or possible repair but I don't have the inclination to
do anything with it myself and I'd like that part of my driveway back. I
already have two projects in the back yard and if I put another one back
there I'm probably going to get fined for having an unauthorized junkyard.

Is there any demand for this year/model?
