Can someone help?
I have a 1998 olds cutlass GLS with 98,000 miles - not driven hard.
Bought it in 1999 and twice have replaced the control button panel
inside car that turns on ac/heat, etc. The a/c light starts blinking
on/off and I can hear the compressor cutting on/off. Replaced it about
6 years ago, then about 8 months ago. Now it is starting again!
An engineer friend of mine checked it after two dealerships couldn't
find a thing and charged me lots of money for nothing. Billy said it
seemed to lead back to the interior control box . We replaced it again
(2nd time). Does it have something to do with relays? What could
the problem be.
Also, could it be related to the crazy, frantic ticking that comes
from my turn signal steering column area? For the past year, for no
reason the ticking noise (same noise made for turn signal) will start
up and go very fast or sometimes even intermitent slow. People who
have ridden in my car say "what the heck is that?" or "is your turn
signal still on?" it's crazy. it will stop for periods of time,
then all of a sudden start up again and do it for a few days or weeks
then stop. What the heck is going on? The mechanics can't figure
it out!!!
I even purchased the mechanics book to my car. Somebody help!!! :)
blessings, Julie
