Sorry Ghost Rider, I just re-read your post:

My XJR was somewhat older than your prospective purchase. Two of the
main problems was thirst and parts. The XJR doesn't seem to share
parts with other Jags in the range, which makes them (the parts) very
expensive. There were also rust problems on the wheel arches and a
regular need to fix the shock absorbers. As I say a 2001 shouldn't
have the same problems. The car is great though when everything is
working correctly. Have a look at the S Type too, you may like it.
