Thanks for replying. I found a lot of headlight restoration kits and ended
up trying the following:

It only removed about half the residue so after further research I found
an
article that recommended using wet/dry sandpaper in grains/in2 of 1000 up
to
3000. I found them here:

I only spent about 1 hour sanding then reapplied the poli****ng compounds
using the restoration kit. That 2-step process did the trick. Looks
practically brand new again.
