Facing down reckless and false attacks on the Safe, Useful Vehicles (SUV)
that Americans love is the purpose of SUVOA, a non-profit group protecting
the rights of more than 65 million Americans who own SUVs, pickups and

against interest groups, government agencies and some in the news media

are hostile to Americans choosing and driving vehicles that meet their

SUVTruthSquad intends to become the leading blog for everyone concerned
about SUV, pickup and van issues: SUVOA members across the nation
including
members of the media, federal and state lawmakers, regulators and their
staffs.
SUVOA President Barry McCahill will moderate the blog and new entries will
be posted on a regular basis. McCahill served at the center of federal
transportation policy under eight Secretaries of Transportation and was
the
senior public affairs official for the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA), the high-profile federal agency that regulates the
motor vehicle industry and promotes highway safety. He retired from NHTSA
in 1996.

Kelley Blue Book Market on June 27 unveiled its New-Vehicle Buyer Attitude
Study that directly attacked the patriotism of SUV owners. According to
the
Kelley Blue Book study, which was administered via its web site, nearly 90
percent of shoppers in the market to buy or lease a new vehicle do not
believe that SUV drivers should be described as patriotic.
