i was driving in my 85 monte ss with a 500rms watt rockford amp and two
12s. all of a sudden the car starts to slow down and stops (on the
highway). when i swurved over to the side of the road i lift the hood
and the harness wires are on fire. I put it out with a ****rt. I tow it
to the shop to get fixed and they said the whole electrical system is
fried
(so they say) and that no one sells harness wires for montes no more. I
found a universal harness for hot rods. The question is will just
replacing the wires garuntee the car to drive again or is there more work
to be done? do i need 12 circiut wires, 18, or 24? and is this a project
the average person can do? thanks
