I disconected my brake/****ft lockout solenoid at the bottom of the ****ft
handle (lifted up the console ****fter cover to gain access) to effect an
emergency repair to get the car moved. It was locked in neutral, now
****fts fine, but no brake pedal depression required to put it in gear. It
now operates the way cars did for decades before Americans were too dumb
to instinctively hold the brake down before putting the vehicle in gear.
Now the question; other than the obvious safety ramifications (push the
brake, stupid) are there any other possible negative results to operating
the car with the solenoid shaft disconected?
