Mine's a 2006 MCS mate, and it's as depicted in the pic.  At the end of
the pan.  I just checked the Haynes manual, and it shows it at the end of
the pan too.  

You gotta slide underneath the car a bit.  It's towards the back.  

What year/model is your MINI?
