Mike, it's "crook" not krook. You cannot have "a BS" as BS is not an
enumerated noun. You sure sound angry for a guy who has a message to
deliver. Depending on the type of service one puts an engine through,
3,000
miles may indeed be a good policy. However, if all of one's driving is at
constant speed and for periods of at least 30 minutes or more between
stops
and starts, then the interval could be extended out much more. Perhaps
even
as much as 7 or 8 thousand miles. I use 100% synthetic and drive almost
entirely on the freeway with each trip running around 30 miles each way.
So,
I change my oil at somewhere between 6 and 7 thousand miles.
