Yeah, that was the real point of my post.

FWIW, my performance car has Bridgestone RE-01Rs and Kumho v710s, my 
daily driver has Dunlop Winter S****t M3s and Kumho SPTs.

I just never could find the comparable Michelins for a decent enough 
price to try them.
