I have an 06 Maxima SL 22K miles. Car has traction control but not vehicle
stability. I was driving home form upstate New York down some very steep
hills, in the rain, doing about 65. Car was in "D", not using "auto
stick".
I noticed the car revving at 3500RPM. I could not tell what gear as I was
in
"D" but I'd guess 3rd. I looked in the owners manual thinking that the car
had some sort of "grade control" like Hondas but I only found something
called the "fail safe system". The car automatically up ****fted within the
next few moments. It did not reappear nor was I able to reproduce the
issue.
Question is; is this "normal" behavior or am I looking at a problem?
