Dear Listeners:
Maybe someone amongst you has a clever hint for a persistant problem my
(official Dutch Nissan) dealer has not been able to solve within the 5
weeks
the cars is now in their workplace ;=(
I have a Primera 2.0 M6 with CVT transmission from 2001 with 60,000 kms on
the counter. I am the 3rd owner and I bought it in autumn. At first there
were no problems. After about 200 kms usage two strange phenomena
appeared,
sometimes jointly, sometimes separately:
a) Sometimes the idle revs are 1200 or even 1500 or 2000 instead of approx
750.
This would happen with cold engine or after driving approx. 5 kms.
b) When the engine is warm, after some 5 kms the car makes very abrupt
speed
changes between 45 and 50 kms/h. It *feels* as if there is some gas nozzle
intermittantly (half) blocked. At lower or higher speeds nothing unusual
happens. It is a very unpleasant ride, especially because this is the most
used speed when driving in built areas. No change is seen when I switch
from
automatic to semi-automatic (6 positions are available). Whist driving at
such speeds, and ****fting into neutral, the idle revs would go up to
approx.
1200.
The dealer has been very helpful and has been trying *many* things -
checking the computer (no error codes), fixing possible leaks in all kinds
of tubes, cleaning injection, etc. etc. etc.
He has no clue whatsoever about the possible cause. He has already been in
contact with Nissan France (in Holland there is no more official im****ter)
-
and he told me told that even there the problem was a totally new one.
So I would very much appreciate your input as this is - as far as I can
see
after only 200 kms driving experience - otherwise a very pleasant car.
TIA
