engine gas smells, idiling and lifter adjustment, Nissan v6 engines

by stue1960@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Feb 13, 2008 at 12:59 AM

Hey guys,
I have heard so many great things about Nissan v6 engines in almost
every v6 vehicle from 350z to pathfinder and armadas. Strange that I
am hearing all your issues.
There appears to be a problem with hulkhunters engine idling if it
rolls back at 35 degrees slope, or Power button is not ON, if you
have that option? I still use my 91 pathfinder and it rocks man 400
000 km babee... wooooo.
Probably not a coil issue if you can start and engine runs. Could be a
broken driveshaft on one or two wheels? or the gear box on front or
back that's shredded or not engaging properly.
Engine Gas smells are typically leaks from fuel injector or the fuel
line somewhere in engine, perhaps fuel pump. A problem I have to fix
also.

Why would one need to adjust lifters if the v6 engine uses a Timing
chain, not a rubber belt? Strange. This is the first time I heard this
for no apparent reason? Unless the engine was totalled in an accident
and the engine block was wrecked.?

As for the sunroof not closing properly, the switch button on the dash
maybe the issue or relay connecting to it, check fuses also.

I have 2 Double 3inch Thick tubed black C-SHAPED front grill
attachments make for nice protection from front collisions, or
attaching fog lights,or winch to pull stuff with? $100 each, if any
one can use it?
