1999 Olds Cutlass Gasket Replacement

by newsqlman <ndittoo@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 1, 2007 at 06:52 AM

I have a question. My girlfriend has a 1999 cutlass that she was
using the dex coolant in and now needs a new head gasket she's told.
Basically the cost to have it done is roughly just over $1k but we
don't want to spend that on the car. It runs good otherwise just
needs that because the test they do in the coolant about mixing with
oil or whatever.

My question is, how easy would it be to replace that and possibly the
intake manifold gasket because i've seen posts that have been on the
net about that being affected by the coolant as well.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.
