Hey Group,
I've been searching through the gruop this morning for an anwer to my
problem and came up empty. A little background on the car: it's a '97
Aurora with 53k miles, and all the options minus the nav and sunroof.
The climate control usually stays on Auto, but last night my
windshield was fogging up a little, so I switched it to defrost and
upped the fan speed, or at least I tried. So I tried maxing the fan,
and all the lights work, but the fan doesn't speed up. Then, as if it
has a mind of its own, will speed up to the setting, and then shut
off, and do this at random intervals.
Is this a common problem? I've had this car about a year, with no
problems at all. Easy fix? I'd like some direction before I tear into
the dash hunting for something that might not be there.
Also, the lights for the gear indicator letters (P-R-N-D) is out along
with the buttons on the door panel for the heated seats, etc., is this
a bulb issue or should I be searching the fuses?
Thanks again, feel free to email me or post your comments here.
Thanks!
-Josh
