My son just bought a 2000 Grand Am SE (in what appears to be beautiful
condition) and was planning on getting a variety of things serviced on
general principles. When he inquired about an auto trans service, he was
told these trannys were not supposed to be serviced -- ever. (Hey, it
doesn't even have a dipstick for the tranny.)
Since the car has over 100,000 miles on it, we figured it ought to have a
drain & refill no matter what. Can anyone tell me what the official line
is
on this car's auto trans & servicing? (He's got an owner's manual on
order,
but it hasn't arrived yet...)
Thanks.
