If the car passed with .41 a year ago, and then went to 1.08, I'd be more 
concerned with finding out what the problem is than whether an additive
will 
hide it.  I have a Subaru that passed every year and then failed.  Turned 
out to be a dirty contact on the oxygen sensor.  Might be something really

simple on the ****sche, too.
