I have a 1973 911E with a 22+ gallon ABS gas tank. The car has low
clearance and I am concerned about the tank sticking down (3 1/2 inch
clearance). I cannot find any do***antation on how that part of the tank
was protected. I have a cover for the steering controls which was
intended
to be used with the 16 gallon tank. The tank has a few blemishes which
seem
to be worse that the last time I had it up on jacks and want to protect
the
tank the best way possible since the ****sche parts catalog quotes a price
of
$1500.00 if available last time I checked. Is there any reason for my
concern and if necessary what is the proper remedy?
