FWIW, I have a 97 993, 110K miles - no engine troubles other than the usual
SAI valve failure, changed belts once, brake pads twice I think, a couple
of
light bulbs and the cables to run the top - you can compare that to the
964
if you like - now keep in mind I do my own maintance and drive my car
every
day
