If you're in a very hot climate, the A/C in the Boxster or 996 series is
far
superior to the previous air cooled cars. I agree that only the Boxster-S
or Cayman-S would be close to the 911 driving experience. Also...911's
are
simply larger vehicles, with a greater feeling of safety...if that's an
issue for you.
I'm not a great fan of the 964 (911...1990-94) series, but that is a
personal preference.
