996 TT transmission issue

I have an '02 996 TT that I bought almost two years ago.  It is a Certified

Pre-Owned  (had 18,200 miles) and is equipped with the manual
transmission.

Soon after I got it, I started to notice that while de-accelerating in 2nd

gear, the gearshift would "pop" out of gear and into neutral.   If I kept 
light pressure on the gearshift with my hand, it would be fine.

Since the 2 year CPO warranty was about to run out, I brought it back to
the 
dealer thinking it was a simple adjustment issue.   Turns out they have to

remove the transmission and replace a gear.  Fortunately, it is fully 
covered by the Porsche CPO warranty.

I am just curious if anybody else has experienced this problem.  I love
the 
car and have only put 2000 miles on it since I bought it.  Is this a 
particular weakness of this transmission?  20,200 miles seems rather low
to 
be having transmission issues.
