if this is a double. Seems that others have already addressed your
low end power issues.

For any non-16 valve and non-turbo 944, lack of breath at around 5,500
rpm is "normal." That's why ****sche produced 16-valve and turbo 944s
- to improve breathing and get useful power in the rpm range.
