1983 944 Fan Not Working / Overheating

by York <Notchapuss@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 26, 2007 at 08:18 PM

My '83 944 was running very hot today. Even though the weather was
warm, it is unusual for her to get this hot. When I got home and
popped the hood I noticed that neither of the fans were running. The
a/c unit needs a charge so I'm not sure if the one fan will ever come
on.

In any event, are the fan relays known to go bad? Is there some
simple check I can do to test the relay? Can / Should I jump a few
contacts to verify that the fan works? Any other thoughts?

Cheers!
